Pakistan have won for the 2019 Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Emerging Teams Asia Cup after beating Bangladesh by 77 runs at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, Dhaka on Saturday.
After Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field first, the Men in Green posted 301 for 6 at the end of their allotted 50 overs.
Pakistan didn’t have a great start as they lost the top-scorer from the semi-final Omair bin Yousaf with only 18 runs on the board.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Rohail Nazir took charge of the innings and scored a brilliant century which helped Pakistan in giving a substantial target to Bangladesh.
Nazir’s 113-run knock from 111 balls included 12 fours and three sixes.
In reply, Bangladesh kept losing wickets at regular intervals with Pakistan pacers bowling with great intensity.
