Pakistan shortlisted the crew for the three-coordinate Test arrangement against England.
Old Trafford will have the main Test of the arrangement beginning on Wednesday August 5. The last two Tests will be played at the Rose Bowl from Thursday, August 13 and Friday, August 21.
The three T20Is will happen at Old Trafford on Friday, August 28, Sunday, August 30 and the last match of the visit on Tuesday, September 1.
Former captain Sarfaraz, who was sacked from Test and T20I captaincy the previous October, is the second choice wicketkeeper in the squad, behind the youthful Mohammad Rizwan, who also toured Australia last year and played Bangladesh at home this February. It will be interesting to see if he finds a place in the playing XI or not. Sarfaraz is an experienced campaigner and is known as one of the best captains the country ever had.

In the interim, the staying nine players Fakhar Zaman, Haider Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Hasnain and Musa Khan — will keep on preparing with the crew for the T20I arrangement, which will be played at the backend of the Test arrangement.
